R-Desktop : Working with Accounts : Adding Media Types
Adding Media Types
This feature allows the addition and retrieval of electronic media files.
To add media files
1. Follow the procedure Viewing Account Information.
2. Select Media Files from the More... list. The Media Files Summary screen appears.
3. Select a Status from the list to help filter the media records.
4. To further filter your records, select a Media Type from the list.
5. To view saved media files in a separate window, do the following:
a) Click the View button. A separate window opens displaying the selected file.
b) Click Open to have the media file either open automatically or the operator will be prompted to decide which application they would like to use to launch the media file.
c) Click Save to choose where the operator can save the media file on their workstation.
d) Click Cancel to close the window without saving.
Note:
The operator will not be permitted to navigate to other RDUI screens until the window has been closed. To navigate through RDUI and the media file simultaneously, the operator will need to save the media file to their workstation using the “Save” button. Any changes made to the media file while using a third party application will not modify the media file.
6. To edit the media file details, click Edit. The Media File Details dialog opens with the last saved values.
7. Click Next to open an additional screen where additional media records that have been added to this account can be viewed.
8. To add a new media type record, click Add. The Media File Details dialog appears.
9. Fill out the dialog, as described in the following table, then click OK to save and close the dialog.
