Setting Up Personal Group Info—Employee
To set up personal group info 
1. Follow the procedure Searching for an Account.
2. From the Account Overview screen, select the Group Info from the More... list. The Group Info dialog appears.
Group Info dialog
Opens when “Group Info” is selected from the More... list for RSP, TFSA, RESP, and non-registered group accounts.

Click to view or modify the details of an existing group.
Add
button
Click to open the Group Add dialog where a new group can be added. See the next section for details.
Group Contribution Totals

Opens the Group Contribution Totals dialog
Group Add dialog
Opens when the Add button is clicked on the Group Info dialog.
Only one group can be active at a time. Any time a new group is added, the previous group becomes inactive.

Enter the group name or click the Find button to search for and select one.
Status
drop-down list
Select one of the following:
Variable—contribution amount will vary for each payment period.
Specified—contribution amount will be consistent for each payment period.
Group Deposit Source
drop-down list
Displays the selected Deposit source for the specified group sponsor.
Allowable Values:
Cheque

Next Date

Displays the next contribution date based on the group sponsor selected.
Currency

Displays the currency specified on the account.
Contribution Amount Type
display
Indicates the amount type for the contribution.
Contribution
drop-down list
Allowable values:
Non-Spousal
Spousal
Indicates the contribution type for a Group RRSP or Group Spousal RRSP.
Defaults to 'Non-spousal' and cannot be changed if account is a Group RRSP.
Defaults to 'Spousal' and cannot be changed if account is a Group Spousal RRSP and the “All non-spousal contribution” flag is not selected on the account product.
Defaults to 'Spousal' and can be modified if the account is a Group Spousal RRSP and the “Allow non-spousal contribution” flag is selected on the account product.
Defaults to 'Non-Spousal' and cannot be changed if the account type is RESP or Non-Registered.
Total Contribution

If the Contribution Type is “specified”, enter the amount of the contribution.
Beneficiary
button
If the account is a group RESP, click button to enter or modify the appropriate details.
Exclude
check box
Select If you want to exclude the plan from future batch runs.
Locked
check box
Indicates whether this order is already part of a scheduled batch which cannot be excluded unless the batch is unlocked first. Cannot be changed.
CONTRIBUTION ALLOCATION
Amount Type

Do one of the following:
To enter the amount of money to be invested in the fund, click Dollar, then enter the amount in the Amount field.
To enter a percentage of the client's deposit to be allocated to the fund, click Percent, then type the amount in the field.
Restrict Employer Contributions
check box
Select if employer contributions in the group account cannot be withdrawn.
Edit/OK
button
Enables text box for editing based on the amount type selected. Edit button changes to OK.
When the OK button is clicked, the entered values in the Amount or Percentage text boxes are saved, and:
If the entered value is an amount, the Percentage text box is populated with the calculated percentage based on the amount entered and the total contribution.
If the entered value is a percentage, the Amount text box is populated with the dollar amount based on the percentage specified of the total contribution.
Cancel
button
Enabled when the Edit button is clicked.
All values entered in the Amount or Percentage text boxes are discarded and both fields will be disabled. The OK button changes back to the Edit button.
PURCHASE ALLOCATION
Amount Type

Select either the Dollar or the Percent option button, then click the Edit button in the Action column to enter an amount or percentage.
After an amount or percentage is entered, the Edit button changes to OK. Click OK to save.
Dividend
drop-down list
Select either Cash or Re-invest from the list.
FE%

Enter the desired percentage up to a maximum of two decimal places.
Add
button
Click to add a security.
Edit/OK
button
Enables text box for editing based on the amount type selected. Edit button changes to OK.
When the OK button is clicked, the entered values in the Amount or Percentage text boxes are saved, and:
If the entered value is an amount, the Percentage text box is populated with the calculated percentage based on the amount entered and the total contribution.
If the entered value is a percentage, the Amount text box is populated with the dollar amount based on the percentage specified of the total contribution.
Cancel
button
Enabled when the Edit button is clicked.

Save
button
If no errors are returned and all validations pass, the new contribution is saved and the Group Info screen returns.
