Option Buy—Order Details tab
The first tab of the options order process.
Item | Type | Description |

Account | drop-down list | Select the cash account the order is to be settled in. |
Action | drop-down list | Select Buy. |
Advisor Notes | text | Enter any information that is to be added to the trailer description section of the order. |
Amount | currency | Enter the appropriate amount for preconfigured commission options |
Anonymous | check box | Click if the order is anonymous. |
Commission | drop-down list | Select an option from the list, then enter the appropriate amount for preconfigured commission options in the Amount field. |
Covered | check box | Click if the order is covered. |
Exchange | drop-down list | Select from the list. |
Expiration | date | If the order is to be a day order only, select Day from the Expiration list. If the order is to stand for a month, select GT30 from the list. If the order is to use the number of days specified on the “Max. order duration in days” field for the custodian of the dealer in R•Broker Administrator to determine the expiry date from the current system date, select GTD from the list. For any other expiration date, select Other from the list, then click the  to open the pop-up calendar, where you can select any date.Note: Depending on license, if GTD is selected, select from the list of valid trading days for the exchange. |
IA Code | drop-down list | Identifies the transaction advisor that placed the order. Can be changed. |
Next Day Order | check box | Click if the order is to be executed on the next business day, |
Opening/Closing | option buttons | Select the order entry type. |
Operation Instructions | text | Enter any information that is to be added to the trailer description section of the order. |
Order Source | drop-down list | Select from the list. |
Price | currency | Enter limit price, or enter MKT for a market order. |
Pro | check box | Click if the account is a Pro account. |
Quantity | number | Enter the amount of shares that are to be bought. |
Recommended/Not Recommended | option buttons | If the order was recommended, click the Recommended option button. Otherwise, click the Not Recommended option button. |
Security Description | text | Enter a description for the security. |
Settlement Account | drop-down list | Select from the list. |
Spread | check box | Click if the option order is a spread. |
Stop/Stop Limit | check box/currency | If this is a stop-loss order, click the Stop check box, then enter a stop price in the Stop Limit field. |
Symbol | text, button | Enter the Symbol for the security, or click Find to search for one. |
Trader Instructions | text | Enter any information that is to be added to the trailer description section of the order. |
