Rate Entry
The Rate Entry dialog is accessed when either the Add button (Add mode) or the View button (View mode) is clicked on the Rate Details dialog, as described in the previous section.
The Rate Entry dialog allows the operator to view and enter interest rates for stepped rate term investments. Fields can be updated in Add mode, but only viewed in View mode.

Base Rate
display
Displays the base rate of the term investment.
Total rate/Year 1 rate
percentage
Enter the Year 1 (step 1) rate of a stepped rate term investment.
Effective Date
date
Displays the date the rate will come into effect. Defaulted to the trade date entered for the term buy order when the Term type drop-down has a value of 'Stepped Rate' selected in R•Broker Administrator for the term investment.
Year 2-5 Rate
percentage
Years 2-5 fields where interest rates for the stepped term can be entered.
Rate Type
drop-down list
Type of rate being added or modified.
Rate Status
drop-down list
Status of the rates attached to the term investment.
Save
button
Saves changes and closes dialog.
Cancel
button
Closes dialog without saving changes.
