If licensed, the RESP Information dialog opens when selecting the Plan Details button in the Account Overview screen.
A table is included to display summary like notional values for CLB, CESG, BCTESG, SAGES and QESI grants, both at the account and beneficiary levels, when applicable. If a notional value is not applicable at the account or beneficiary level, it will default to a value of N/A.
The Year table displays yearly values for a subset of the existing notional columns, with the remaining values accessible on the RESP Information Details screen.
The displayed amounts will initially be calculated as of the system date and will be recalculated when an as of date is entered and the Search button is clicked. The Available for EAP fields will take into consideration the government limits for CESG and QESI, as well as the effective date of the residency for the beneficiary in the residence log for the beneficiary.
Transfer amounts are based on notional values entered on the Transfer Details screen and will be included in the amounts displayed when the transfer status is updated to completed. If the status of a completed transfer is updated to reversed, then the amounts of that transfer item will not be included in the amounts displayed on the screen.
Any amount that is increased by adding an original transaction will be decreased if the transaction is reversed. This includes when a converted historical transaction is added or reversed.
2. From the Account Overview screen, click the Plan Details button. The RESP Information dialog appears.
3. Select a beneficiary from the Beneficiary drop-down list.
Note:
When a beneficiary is selected, the notional amounts are calculated and displayed for the specific beneficiary. If the beneficiary field is left blank, the notional amounts are calculated and returned at the account level.
4. Select an As Of date (As of Effective Date)
Note:
Any transaction and any RESP transfer (in or out) with a status of completed, with an effective date earlier than or equal to the date specified will be evaluated by R•Desktop when calculating and displaying the notional values. The notional values and the yearly values will be refreshed when the as of date is changed and the Search button is selected. Always enabled and defaulted to the system date when the screen is first accessed. If no transactions are found based on the entered date, values of $0.00 or N/A will be returned respectively.
5. Click Search to return data for the criteria specified in the Beneficiary field and notional values based on the date in the As Of date field.
6. Select a year link to open the RESP Information Details dialog, where a detailed summary of deposits, transfers, withdrawals and held amounts at the account or beneficiary level can be viewed. See the next section for details.
