Setting Up Asset Allocation
R•Desktop allows operators to balance risk and reward by apportioning a portfolio's assets according to an individual's goals, risk tolerance and investment horizon.
The Asset Allocation Model screen lists asset allocation model items that have been created, filtered by type, advisors, investment portfolio Profile, and status.
There are two distinct flows for Asset Allocation models:
• The creation and maintenance of the Asset Allocation Models, including the definition of the holding classifications, securities and associated percentages that make up an asset allocation model. These are described in this section and the next: Asset Allocation Model Details.
• Linking an asset allocation model to an account and viewing how closely the account's assets are tracking the model. This is described in the
Account Asset Allocation Models section.
