Message and Status Details
This dialog is accessed from the Message and Status Summary dialog, as described in the previous section.
This screen has three modes:
Add mode (to add a note or send an original message to a recipient)
Reply mode (recipient can reply to the original message and submit back to the sender)
Note: 
The dialog will open in reply mode only if the operator is the recipient of a message, and the “Replied” value is “No” in the messaging data store. Note: no reply mode is available for note.
View mode (displays the message only)
The following table describes functionality found in this dialog.

check box
Indicates the message thread has been completed. Cannot be selected when viewed by the Recipient.
When the Sender selects this check box and selects the Submit button, the value will be stored, the message thread will be considered completed, and no more messages will be added to the message thread. The message thread will only be displayed in View mode.
Compliance Tests
button
Opens the Compliance Test Summary dialog.
Copy
button
Enabled for notes and messages when text within a message body for the note or the message is selected. This button is enabled for both unresolved and completed message threads
When this button is selected, all highlighted text in the message thread or the note will be copied to the clipboard, as per standard Copy functionality.
Follow-Up Date
date
Indicates that a message thread will be reviewed further on a future date. The calendar widget, when enabled, can be used to select a Follow-up date, or a valid business day may be entered in the text field by the operator.
Not available to change when viewed by the Recipient.
Message
text
Add mode only. Optional field unless the status of “Approved” is selected for D1 reviewer. In this case, a Message/Note must be entered to successfully change the status to “Approved”.
Message Thread
table
Displays all records within a message thread sorted from the oldest message to the newest message, descending with a vertical scroll bar that will be enabled, as required.
All message rows for the compliance event are display only and are collapsed, except for the newest (last) message row.
When the message is collapsed, three lines of the message are displayed, which will include the following details:
From
To
Date and Time
Subject
Message (first line only for collapsed messages)
Collapsed indicator (+ or -)
When the collapsed indicator is a plus sign, the operator will be able to expand the message to view the entire Message Body.
The view will be defaulted to display the most recent:
Recipient message within the thread for the dashboard of the Sender, or
Recipient message within the thread for the dashboard of the Recipient
at the top of the display window.
Message Thread Row

Individual messages will display the following field values converted to a single text field:
From—Operator name who sent the message.
To—Operator name who received the message. It will always be the operator name of the Sender or Receiver. If the compliance event has been reassigned and the To operator has been changed, this will display the new To operator (who is either the Sender or Receiver).
Date and Time—Date and time the message was sent.
Subject—Subject of the message. Where multiple subjects exist within the message thread, this will be the subject of the most recent message.
Message—Body of the message.
This row will be collapsible and expandable. When collapsed, only the first three lines of the message are displayed.
The colour of each thread row corresponds to either the Sender or the Recipient of the thread. The colour will match to the colour of the Reply field for the messages sent from the operator and an alternate colour will be displayed for messages sent to the operator.
Note/Message

If Message is selected, the recipient will be defaulted to the operator name of the advisor on the event when the Sender has a compliance role of D1, C1, or C2, and the operator name of the Designated Reviewer on the event when Sender has compliance role of D2.
Click Find to open the Recipient Search dialog.
Paste
button
Enabled for notes and messages when text within a message body for the note or the message is selected.
When this button is selected, all text copied to the clipboard using the Copy button on the clipboard will be copied into the Reply text field, as per standard Paste functionality.
Recipient
option button
Add mode only.
Reply
text
Reply mode only. Enabled when the operator is responding to an existing message (visible and enabled) or viewing an existing message (visible and disabled).
When adding a new note or message, the following fields only be added to the text of the note or the first message of a message thread:
Advisor code
Advisor name (First Name Last Name)
Account banner – English
Trade information currently included for messages will only apply to the first message in the message thread.
Enabled with no pre-existing text for messages with the Completed check box not selected. For messages with the Completed check box selected, and where the message has been Submitted, this field will be disabled.
For messages where the Completed check box has been selected, but the message has not yet been Submitted, this field will be enabled and can be used to add a note (a message without a Recipient) to the end of the message thread.
When the 'Update Selected' button on the Compliance Review Detail screen or one of the Review Summary screens is used for bulk event updates, the Advisor Code and Name will only be included if the advisor is the same for all the events selected for the update.
Similarly, the account banner will only be displayed if the bulk event update is for the same account.
When the text cursor is positioned in this field, the Paste functionality will apply and all text on the clipboard will be pasted into the reply, beginning at the cursor position, when the Paste button is selected.
The colour of the Reply field will correspond to the thread rows for the messages sent by the operator or member of the operator's delegate
Restricted
check box
Indicates the message or note can only be viewed and replied to by a corporate reviewer. For D1 and D2 reviewer, this field is not available. Enabled for Add mode only.
Status
drop-down list
Select from the list. Can be selected only in Add mode.
Subject
text
Free form text up to 100 characters. Enabled in Add mode only.
Submit
button
Available in Add or Reply mode.
When the Completed check box is selected, and the operator has added comments to the Reply field before selecting Submit, the text will be saved as a message without a recipient, similar to a note, and will not be sent to any other operator.
When the Note option button is selected, the Completed check box will be automatically be saved as selected when the operator saves the note.
View/Edit
button
Opens the Message and Status Details dialog in reply mode.
