Entering FATCA Information
The FATCA Information screen allows a number of FATCA-related attributes to be viewed and maintained for the applicable person or enterprise client. Information entered and saved will be referenced by the FATCA Information report.
To enter FATCA information 
1. Follow the procedure Searching for a Client.
2. Select FATCA Information from the More... drop-down list. The FATCA Information dialog appears.
Note: 
Depending on license, the node and screen may be entitled “FATCA/CRS Information”, and will have some additional functionality. All functionality, regardless of license, is included in this procedure.
3. For a client who is a person, select from the following drop-down lists:
Country of birth/organization
US classification
Country of citizenship 1-3
4. For a client who is a company, select from the following drop-down lists:
Country of birth/organization
US classification
5. Enter the date that will be used to track the last date for the US classification in the Last US Classification Date field.
6. To exclude the client from the Part XVIII tax extract, regardless of whether the client has been flagged with a reportable US classification, click the Exclude from FATCA Reporting check box, then enter a date that will be used to determine which tax years to exclude the client from FATCA reporting.
7. Select a CRS Entity Classification from the list.
8. If the client, and their associated account(s), is determined to be undocumented when the client has failed to establish the residence for tax purposes, select the Undocumented for CRS check box.
Note: 
This field also indicates the date when the client is determined to be Undocumented for CRS, or is determined to no longer be Undocumented for CRS (i.e. This field will be used to indicate when the client is determined to be CRS reportable without a self-certification or vice versa based on the due diligence performed).
9. To add a tax residence country and associated Tax Identification Number for the client, click the Add button in the CRS Information section of the screen. The CRS Information Details dialog appears.
10. Select a Tax Residence Country from the list.
11. Enter a Tax Identification Number. Maximum length of 19 with no decimal places.
12. Select a Status from the list.
13. Enter the date the CRS Information record is effective in the Effective Date field.
Note: 
This field is used to indicate when the client is determined to be CRS reportable based on due diligence performed.
14. Click Save to save and close the dialog. The new CRS Information record appears in the CRS Information table.
15. To edit the details of a saved record, click the View/Edit button.
16. Click Update to save.
