Beneficiary RDSP Consent Transaction
The Beneficiary RDSP Consent Transaction dialog is used for the entry of the Beneficiary Consent transactions into R•Broker. PCG information added in the Beneficiary RDSP Consent Transaction screen will only be used for the creation of beneficiary consent transactions (record types 202-01 and 202-02).
In order to create an 'Add' consent transaction, the operator will first need to create a client record (CIF) for the former caregiver, which can be linked into the 'Add' consent transaction.
A revoke consent transa ction is ONLY required if requested by the PCG or former Holder and should only be sent when the appropriate ESDC form has been completed.
The PCG information entered in this dialog will not be used in the submission of any financial transaction record types. Financial transaction record types will continue to use the Primary Caregiver 1 (PCG1) and Primary Caregiver 2 (PCG2) information captured in the ESDC Background Details screen for the beneficiary of the account, as required.
This dialog is used to:
Create add consent transactions for a new RDSP account opened for a holder/beneficiary that is over 18 years of age. In this case add consent transactions will be added for former caregivers of the holder/beneficiary.
Create add consent transactions for additional caregivers added to the RDSP account over and above the PCG1 and PCG2 information for the account. Additional caregivers can be added to an open RDSP account at any time while the account is still active with ESDC.
Create add consent transactions to provide updates for existing PCG1 and PCG2 information that has already been sent to ESDC, such as a change of name for one of the existing PCGs on the account or a change of PCG on the account.
Note:
This will only create the Add Consent transaction for the update of PCG information on record with ESDC. It will not create any financial transactions.
Create add consent transactions to provide updates for existing additional caregivers added to the RDSP account. This will be used in the case of a change of name of the caregiver (i.e. Change of consent given name, consent surname or agency name).
Create revoke consent transactions for existing PCG1 and PCG2 information that has already been sent to ESDC.
Create revoke consent transactions for existing additional caregivers on the RDSP account.
Create revoke consent transaction for a former owner (holder) of the RDSP account that has been removed from the account. For ESDC to accept the revoke consent transaction for the former holder, a remove holder transaction (record type 201-23) must also be sent to ESDC.
Create revoke consent transactions for resubmission of 'Revoke' beneficiary consent transaction types that have been rejected by ESDC.

1. Click the Name Find button to search for and select the desired client number for the beneficiary consent transaction.
