Date & Time of Client Contact | date/time | Indicates the date and time of the advisors communication with the client. The field is separated into two fields, the date followed by a button to launch the standard date selection popup and then the time. |
Days/Months/Years/Maturity date | text boxes | Enter the length of the term or enter the maturity date. The Days, Months, Years and Maturity fields calculate off of each other. For example, if you enter “2” in the Years field, the maturity date will change to 2 years from the present system date once you tab out of the field. Or if you enter a date in the Maturity date field, the Days, Months, and Years fields are calculated once you tab out of the Maturity field. |
Face value | text box | Enter the dollar amount of the buy, or the amount that will settle. |
First Interest Date | date | Change calculated date, if desired. Note that you cannot change this date with all investments. |
IA Code | display only | Identifies the transaction advisor that placed the order. |
Interest instructions | drop-down list/button | To determine the payment instruction on the interest earned during the term of the investment, select from the list. |
Interest Payment Frequency | drop-down list | Select an interest payment frequency. |
Investment | drop-down list/button | Select the investment from the list, or click Find to search for one. |
Issuer account # | drop-down list | If the client already holds a term investment for the same issuer, enter the account number of the issuing institution (bank, credit union, trust company, etc.). |
Level Interest | check box | Select to create the term buy order with “level interest”. This is only applicable if the investment allows level interest payments. Change order should be investment first and account second, similar to the buy screen. |
Maturity instructions | drop-down list/button | To indicate the maturity instruction for the principal portion of the maturing transaction, select from the list. |
Rate Details | tab | Click to enter the interest rate of the term investment. You can also allow for single or multiple entries in the case of stepped rate transactions. For more information, see Rate Details. |
Rate guaranteed | check box | If the rate is guaranteed, select the check box. |
Recommended/Not Recommended | option buttons | If the order was recommended, click the Recommended option button. Otherwise, click the Not Recommended option button. |
Settle source | drop-down list | Select one of the following: • Client • Dealer • Intermediary • Issuer |
Settlement account | drop-down list | Select the account from which you want to buy the term investment. |
Source of Funds | drop-down list/text | Indicates the source of funds for the order. This field is a combination of a drop-down to select the source of funds value and a text box to capture an additional comment for the selected source of funds. |
Tax Details | tab | Select tab if you are transferring assets between accounts where there may be tax implications. For more information about the Tax Details dialog, see Tax Details. |
Trade date | text box | Enter the trade date of the transaction, or click the Calendar button to select a date. If the trade date is different than the issue date, the trade date can be adjusted at confirmation. |
Upcoming Events | button | Enabled if a term code has been entered in the Investment field. Opens the Upcoming Events dialog. For more information, see Viewing Upcoming Events. |
Yield | percentage | Enabled and defaulted to '0.0000%' when the Term type drop-down has a value of 'Stepped Rate' selected for the term investment in R•Broker Administrator. Otherwise, displays 0.0000% and cannot be modified. |
